HRDO-Recruitment Section submits item for CSC publication and wait until CSC post the vacancy in the Bulletin of Vacant Positions in Government;

Human Resources Development Office UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES RECRUITMENT PROCESS HRDO coordinates with the unit on the deadline of filing of application; HRDO notifies all units of vacancy through Bulletin of vacant positions and thru HRDO website (www.hrdo.upd.edu.ph); All referrals are sent to the Unit for evaluation of their Dept/College APC; The Unit selects, recommends and prepares the basic papers for submission to HRDO;

For UP Diliman, the minimum educational qualification for new employees is college degree with Civil Service professional eligibility except for certain skilled and low level positions. Human Resources Development Office UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES Publication of Vacant Positions Rule IX, Book V of Executive Order 292 and its Omnibus Rules, as amended (30th Printing March 2011) Section 1 Vacant positions in the career service shall be published in accordance with the provisions of RA 7041 (An Act Requiring Regular Publication of Existing Vacant Positions in Government Office, Appropriating Funds Therefor, and for other purposes) and its implementing guidelines.

Title I, Book V of EO 292, states that: “Closed career positions which are scientific or highly technical in nature; these include the faculty and academic staff of state colleges and universities, and scientific and technical positions in scientific and research institutions, which shall establish and maintain their own merit systems”. In view thereof, vacant positions in the SUCs being highly technical in nature are excluded from the publication requirement.
