PROFESSIONAL DRESS CODE This is the dress code to be followed at most of the events including the following Opening Session Closing/Awards Session Campaign Rally All Competitive Events (judged, non-judged, and open) Members not adhering to this dress code will not be allowed to participate in their competitive events will not be allowed into the opening/closing sessions will not be allowed on stage

PROFESSIONAL DRESS CODE - MEN You may wear… Suit, dress shirt and tie BPA blazer, dress slacks, dress shirt and tie Dress slacks, dress shirt and tie OR OR

PROFESSIONAL DRESS CODE - MEN Remember… Dress shoes and dress socks are required with any of the previous examples Black tennis shoes WILL NOT substitute for dress shoes Denim not allowed when professional dress code is required Do not forget your tie! Many students often forget it and therefore are not allowed to participate

CASUAL DRESS CODE - MEN Jeans, pants, or shorts Shirt, t-shirt, or conference shirt Conference shirt must be worn during Special Event – t-shirt must not be altered Footwear required at all times

PROFESSIONAL DRESS CODE - WOMEN 1/5/10 You may wear… Business Professional Dress Pant or Skirt Suit Dress skirt or dress slacks with coordinated blouse and/or sweater OR OR

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS The following are unacceptable during BPA activities: Strapless, spaghetti straps, tube tops, halter tops, midriff tops Spandex, lycra, or transparent clothing

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS The following are unacceptable during BPA activities: Cut-offs or ragged clothing Clothing with inappropriate words and pictures Also… Swim suits must be covered with appropriate attire while in any area except the swimming pool or designated sunbathing area.

EXCEPTIONS The only exceptions to these guidelines are: When traveling to/from a competition When you are inside your hotel room
