WELCOM E! CASAS Posttest Orientatio n Please completely silence or turn off your cell phone. If your phone rings or buzzes during the test session, your test will be invalid and you will have to leave the testing session immediately. This presentation will be shown before all posttesting sessions. If you’ve already seen it, breath deeply and relax as you get ready to show off the skills you’ve mastered this semester!

Why we posttest  to measure how much you’ve learned from the beginning of the semester to the end  to place you into classes for next semester  to help determine if you are ready for the GED, NEDP, or job training program Please do your best! You will not be able to take this test again until the next testing period.

Computer Testing Policies 1.Please completely turn off your cellphone or make sure it is completely silent. If your cellphone buzzes or rings during the test, your test will be invalid and you will be asked to leave the testing session immediately. 2.Please clear all personal items (such as phones, keys, books, bags, etc.) off of the table. 3.No food or drink is allowed near the computers. Eating and drinking are not allowed during the test session. 4.If you are taking more than one test today, you make take a break in between tests, but not in the middle of a test.

Computer Testing Policies 5. No dictionaries, calculators, notebooks, or any other aids are allowed during the test session. Scrap paper and pencils will only be provided for the math test and must be collected as soon as you finish testing. 6. Proctors/Staff cannot provide any help during the test. For example: proctors cannot translate or provide the definition of a word on any test item or test question proctors cannot explain how to interpret or compute a test item proctors cannot answer if a student is interpreting the question or test item correctly proctors cannot indicate if a student’s selection is correct or not If a proctor helps a student during the test, the test will be invalid.

Computer Testing Policies 7. No talking during the test. If you are talking during the test, your test will be invalid and you will be asked to leave the testing session immediately. 8.If you finish the test early, you must leave the testing session. Please log out of your test session and then see the proctor.

Posttest Each test will have:  2 practice items  test questions

Computer Features - Review You may skip a question and come back to it later.

Computer Features - Review Review Screen  = question was answered  = question was skipped click on any box to review that question

Computer Features - Review click “End Test” when you are finished

Computer Features - Review A warning message will appear when you have 10 minutes remaining, and again when you have 1 minute remaining. When the timer ends, you will be able to finish the last question you are on before the test ends.
