DESIGN PROGRAMMING REQUIREMENTS  SIX CLASSROOM ADDITION (net - based on 24 students per room) New classrooms must be prioritized based on the needs of the youngest grade level first per State Department of Education Standards  PROVIDE SECURE ENTRANCE (to control school access after students arrive)  PROVIDE CLINIC SPACE WITH OPERABLE WINDOW TO THE OUTSIDE  PROVIDE 2000 SQUARE FOOT ACTIVITIES ROOM (to supplement existing Multipurpose Room)

PRELIMINARY PROJECT SCHEDULE  Mid April 2009 Meet with Principal to review project scope and conceptual plans  Mid April thru May 2009 Meet with school principal and staff, as necessary, to develop a proposed addition plan that will support the instructional needs of the school  Late May 2009 Invite community to school PTO meeting to review proposed project schematic plans and invite comments  June thru Sept 2009 A/E to develop design documents  Early Oct 2009 Submit building plans for PW County for review and approval  Mid Dec 2009 Anticipate plan approvals  Feb 2010 Advertise for Bids  Late March 2010 School Board awards construction contract  April thru Nov 2010 Additions constructed  Winter Break 2010 Move into new additions  Jan thru April 2011 Renovate existing classrooms with changed use  Late May 2011 Begin use of renovated existing classrooms  Summer 2011 Minor renovations to existing administration areas  Sept 2011 Construction work complete and school has full use of new facilities
