What is Leadership? Types of Leadership  Leadership is the art of inspiring others to do something you know they have the ability to accomplish.  Involves influencing the attitudes, beliefs, behaviors and feelings of others.  To be a leader you must have a dream and aspire to that dream.  Charismatic leadership  Transactional  Transformational  Task-oriented  Relationship oriented

A leader must have:  Integrity  Trust  Respect for team members  Encourage others  Visions and goals  Provides support

Coach Bob Ladouceur  He began coaching the De La Salle High Spartans in Concord, California in  151-game winning streak that shattered all records for any American sport.  He took over a program that had never enjoyed a winning season since the school's establishment in  Ladouceur retired in 2013 with a record, five CIF bowl championships and 28 North Coast titles. De La Salle also finished No. 1 in various national rankings at least seven times.

Type of leader coach Ladouceur is  Creates a culture of inspiration and motivation that pulls any team together. (Relationship-oriented leadership)  Discovers how to motivate anyone to always put forth a perfect effort.  Learn how to teach others to achieve results through the pursuit of perfection.  Focuses on the team/audience as a whole, always keeping members well informed as well as empowering others to perform. (Charismatic leadership)
