Computer Security!!! By Katie Sawyer 8P

Viruses! Viruses are horrible things created by horrible people! They make your computer behave in a different way than normal. It appears on other programmes on the internet and if you click on it it will attach itself to your computer. Don’t click on them!!! Viruses can come from dodgey s. A virus is like what we got when we are ill, but it is for your computer. There are many different types of viruses that you need to be aware of like...I love you virus, Trojan horse and Melissa virus. Anti- virus software's are good so speak to you parents and convince them to get it if they do not already! A virus can delete all your files on your computer or access all your money.

Hacking!!! Hacking is when someone can access everything that is on your computer from their computer! They can see everything on your computer including you files and documents. It is like a massive hand comes out from your screen and can do what ever it wants with your computer! A fire wall prevents unauthorised intrusions into your computer system and allows only authorised access. To stop hacking you should put a password on your computer, one that is a secret and that you don’t tell your friends.

Back-up!!! It is like putting it on your memory stick Keep them in a different room A back up is a copy of your data You can store them on DVDs To keep them safe... Keep them on the internet Do not put them next to the computer Do not leave them plugged in (a memory stick) You can keep them on... A memory stick A floppy disk On the internet On CD's On DVDs If you don’t back up your documents you could loose anything! The Cloud You can back up... Photos Documents School work
