INTEGRATING DATA SYSTEMS FOR RTI IMPLEMENTATION Wayne Sailor Renee Bradley Barbara Sims Univ. of Kansas OSEP ISBE 2009 National PBIS Forum Schoolwide PBS Oct. 9, 2009 Rosemont, Ill.

Wayne Sailor Presentation RTI Definitions Protocol RTI (Special Education) –Data from Interventions at 3 tiers of prevention (reading and math) used to supplement psycho- educational testing to determine eligibility for services under IDEIA (2004). Schoolwide, Problem-solving RTI (General Education/Special Education) –Data from screening all students, all grade levels used to progress-monitor students determined to be at risk for failure (all subjects). Data-based decisions at level of school teams determine intervention intensities at 3 tiers of prevention. Includes schoolwide PBS as ‘behavioral RTI’.
