The project aims to review current knowledge and issues related to the economic impact of health at work. Expected Results I Review the of current state of knowledge on health and safety at work in the participant EU countries and to identify gaps in knowledge; current data (such as the national Labour Force Surveys (LFS) regarding the incidence of accidents, illnesses and absenteeism at work and early retirement due to occupational illness/accident and management practices for health and safety in the European Union; indicators on health and safety at work ; current knowledge/data related to gender and age related aspects of occupational health and safety at work; management options for current state of affairs regarding health and safety at work;

Expected Results II Hold workshops on assessment and management of health and safety at work; Explore the possibility of developing new health and safety at work indicators by using large scale available surveys (such as Labour Force Surveys (LFS); Use GIS to map and analyze health and safety at work indicators; Design a (common) protocol for the collection of (new) health and safety at work indicators for EU member states;
