Life in the 1500s Presented By Antonia Mcdermott P5a

Food in the 1550’s In 1550,people would have varieties of food such as pears, English muffins and all different things that are all very much the same.

How kings and commoners lived back then. Kings and commoners are both very different, Kings had plenty of food and wasted some of it! But commoners, they would have to search for their food and if they found any the would devour it in minuets.

The differences of the homes between kings and commoners. Because kings are EXTREMELY rich they would live in very big castles/mansions, but commoners, they would probably live either in small cabins or live on the streets! Also sometimes, the kings would be very nasty to the commoners just because they were a lot more richer than them so it was as if they were bullying!!!!!!!!

Kings and Commoners way of Transport Kings and commoners would have very different ways of transport. Kings would have horses for transport because they were very rich. Commoners would probably have to walk on feet for transport which would be very tiring.

The First Flushing Toilet!!!! When Mary Queen of Scots was alive (in the Tudor times),the Tudors all worked together make the very first flushing toilet!!! But, what did they use before that? Everybody would have to use a medium sized hole to get rid of their waste. Once the hole was full, everyone would go on vacation until it was empty again (someone would have to clean it out!!) How yucky!!

Information about Mary Queen of Scots When Mary Queen of Scots was born, she was too young to be a ruler so her mother Mary of Guise became her regent until she was old enough to be a proper queen ruler.

Fighting in the 1500’s In the 1500’s there would be jousting battles. People would have horses and armour to protect themselves. They would also have big jousting stick and they would use it to knock the opponent off their horse. The first person to knock their opponent off their horse wins the battle and the other has to leave.

THANK YOU!!!!! Thank you for having a look at my slideshow! I hope you enjoyed looking at all the information about the 1500’s!Thank you very much! This power point was presented by Antonia Mcdermott Our Lady of the Rosary primary school P5a
