Enquiries (Investigation) The Local Authority must make enquiries or cause another agency to do so whenever abuse or neglect are suspected in relation to an adult and the LA thinks it necessary to enable it to decide what (if any) action is needed to help and protect the adult May decide that another agency should make the enquiry, for example a care provider (unless there is a conflict), LA can challenge outcome if it considers that the process/outcome to be unsatisfactory Health professionals should undertake enquires relating to medicine management or pressure sores All those undertaking enquiries must be suitably qualified and have received appropriate training
