WALLED LAKE CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT Redistricting Plan for the school year

ADVISORY COMMITTEE FORMATION Teacher from each school (pre K-8) Parent from each school (pre K-8) Principal from each school (pre K-8) Special Education representative Pre-school representative Deputy Superintendent – Facilitator Parental chairpersons Central Administration – will provide information to committee as needed. Enrollment data, transportation considerations, facility configurations, budgetary implications of decisions, etc.

CHARGE OF COMMITTEE To present recommendations for the new school district boundaries relative to Pre-K through 5 school buildings by February of 2012.

HISTORY / CURRENT DATA History – we have redistricted about six times over the last 20+ years, typically when new schools opened. The most recent occasion was when Northern High School opened in We have the information and materials necessary for the committee to begin its work. Computer programs, the facility study and district databases will assist in providing data regarding density of neighborhoods, enrollment trends, existing building populations, projections, etc.
