What are some ways to promote Conclave?  Use flyers that portray the theme  Have those flyers posted at chapter meetings, roundtables, other council wide events  Post the flyers at council office  Make use of your communication tools  Website promotion  Facebook/Twitter  Lodge blast/Council wide blast  Take advantage of the Troop Rep system  Communicate with your troop reps to get them, their friends in OA, and the Arrowman in their troop involved

What are some ways to promote Conclave?  Promote at events  Have a time set aside for the Arrowman in the lodge to hear about Conclave.  Tell them why they should go, what it is, the stuff they can do, etc.  Give flyers/packet of information about Conclave, and other things, to all Arrowman at events  Possibly set up a phone tree to spread the communication  Promote in your quarterly newsletter  Articles dedicated to talking about conclave will make sure people read about it  Be sure to let everyone know when registration opens and how to register.

Other ways to Promote  Transportation  Look at gathering as a lodge ad going down together  Travel in church vans  Rent a tour bus  Make a conclave Flap, t-shirt, patch, hat, or something that is physical for people to have for conclave  Everyone likes to have something that they can look at, hold, or wear for an event. Look at NOAC  Talk to parents  We all know the average age of Arrowman, on the youth side, rely on their parents

When to Promote  NOW!!!  Start promoting as soon as possible  Don’t wait till the last minute to start gathering interest  Promote often  Every chance you get, talk to people about conclave  Every event leading up to conclave  The months leading up to conclave, everyone in the lodge should have heard about it at least three times with some sort of information to take home

Where to find material to promote  Talk to the other lodge chiefs for info  Talk to the section officers  Look at the section website  Take the theme and find creative ways to promote  Remember, people cant go, unless they know about it
