History Honor Flight (founded by Earl Morse)made it’s first flight to D.C. in May 2005 Honor Flight Historic Triangle Virginia was founded in September 2008 when we saw a need for funds to support local WWII Vets so they could visit ‘their’ Memorial We became an official Honor Flight Hub on December 17, HFHTVA Mission 1 executed on 30 May 2009

3 UNIFORM OF THE DAY - Veteran: green jacket MUST be worn whenever you are off the bus - Guardian: yellow jacket and/or t-shirt MUST be worn whenever you are off the bus - Comfortable closed-toe shoes; NO FLIP FLOPS - Watch the weather; you might want to bring a change of clothes if there is rain in the forecast - Backpack or something similar to carry water, snacks, whatever - Bottom line – be comfortable
