Helicopter Heinrich Focke

Leonardo Da Vinci lived around 1500 and he had the first idea of a helicopter. Leonardo Da Vinci lived around 1500 and he had the first idea of a helicopter.

Heinrich Focke lived from 08/10/1890 to 25/02/1979. He improved Da Vinci‘s idea and built the first helicopter in In 1908 he started his studies at the Technical College in Hanover.

He was a famous plane constructur and a helicopter pioneer. In 1924 Focke founded the company „Focke-Wulf-Flugzeugbau AG“ with his father and George Wulf.

The FW61 was his first helicopter and it was built in It was also used during World War II.

Today helicopters are used for military purposes and for fast transport of goods and injured people.
