ART I: Assignment 2 INSECTS

What shapes do you see? What lines do you see? What patterns do you see? Are the insects symmetrical or asymmetrical?

Think about the following: Pattern Texture Symmetry Design Shape/Form Size/proportion

Your assignment: With the books provided, select an insect that you would like to draw. Begin with pencil to draw. After you finish, we will outline the insects in black Sharpie/pen/ink/etc. and add color with colored pencils. Use the entire piece of paper to draw your insect.

Optional: You may want to draw multiple insects.

For this assignment, you must create a background, whether of the insects’ habitat or of an abstract design.
