Introduction To The Poems

Preface Preface- Tupac Shakur was a Rapper song writer and a poetic person he wrote poems about his life and how everything went down as he was growing up and his life before he died and how difficult everything was. Tupac had to tell everybody how he felt about the music game and how he isn’t worried about anybody that was hating on him. Tupac has some vary interesting poems that he wrote as a kid. Tupac’s poems are I cry, In the event of my demise, The Rose that Grew from Concrete, Fallen Star, And Tomorrow this poems represent his life and how he felt at that moment. Tupac grew up in a poor community were his mom didn’t have a job so they really didn’t have much in the house, tupac had to go out on the streets and try to make money so that he can help his mom because his dad was not around so it was just him his sister and his mom in the house. Tupac’s mom didn’t really want tupac to hang out on the streets so she told him to stop going on the streets, but tupac didn’t listen and every time he got caught he got in trouble with his mom and with the law. Tupac’s mom went to jail for trying to steal food for her kids when they needed it and that’s how everything happened at the beginning of tupac’s life. Tupac was one of the best rappers alive and had a lot of fans and he did every thing he could to make the people happy, so he made his raps more real and more strong to were people can understand him and why he do what he do as a rapper and poem writer. Nobody new that tupac wrote poems until after he died they found all of his poems and raps that he had written. Tupac use to be a back up dancer before he became the person he was in like 1992 in was the best male rapper with his true friend biggie before they got into the big fight because of the fact that tupac thought that biggie got him shot tried to get him killed, biggie wrote a song to tupac explaining to him that it was not his fault and that he had nothing to do with it and that’s when tupac died.

Page 4-I Cry http://www.thehiphopworld.com/tupac-poems.html Sometimes when I'm alone I Cry, Cause I am on my own. The tears I cry are bitter and warm. They flow with life but take no form I Cry because my heart is torn. I find it difficult to carry on. If I had an ear to confiding, I would cry among my treasured friend, but who do you know that stops that long, to help another carry on. The world moves fast and it would rather pass by. Then to stop and see what makes one cry, so painful and sad. And sometimes... I Cry and no one cares about why. This poem is about Tupac and how he isn’t scared to cry, but he does not like to be alone. Tupac feels like the tears that he cry are bitter and warm, he feels so much pain that it is hard for him not to cry. Tupac is saying that thugs can cry to and not be ashamed of it because everybody cry's. http://www.thehiphopworld.com/tupac-poems.html

Page 5-In the event of my Demise In the event of my Demise when my heart can beat no more I Hope I Die For A Principle or A Belief that I had Lived 4 I will die Before My Time Because I feel the shadow's Depth so much I wanted 2 accomplish before I reached my Death I have come 2 grips with the possibility and wiped the last tear from My eyes I Loved All who were Positive In the event of my Demise This poem is about how meaning that if he die that he would like to die for a reason and not just because someone does not like him. This poem is also about how he wipes the last tear from his lonely eyes before he lay down for his last breathe. http://www.thehiphopworld.com/tupac-poems.html

Page 6-The Rose that Grew from Concrete Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature's law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet. Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else ever cared. This poem is about how to keep your dreams alive and how it seems to be funny, how you can never know how people can care about you even when you do bad stuff. http://www.thehiphopworld.com/tupac-poems.html

Page 7-Fallen Star http://www.thehiphopworld.com/tupac-poems.html They could never understand what u set out 2 do instead they chose 2 ridicule u when u got weak they loved the sight of your dimming and flickering starlight How could they understand what was so intricate 2 be loved by so many, so intimate they wanted 2 c your lifeless corpse this way u could not alter the course of ignorance that they have set 2 make my people forget what they have done for much 2 long 2 just forget and carry on I had loved u forever because of who u r and now I mourn our fallen star. This poem is about http://www.thehiphopworld.com/tupac-poems.html

Page 8-And Tomorrow http://www.thehiphopworld.com/tupac-poems.html Today is filled with anger, fueled with hidden hate. Scared of being outcast, afraid of common fate. Today is build on tragedies which no one want's to face. Nightmares to humanity and morally disgraced. Tonight is filled with Rage, violence in the air. Children bred with ruthlessness cause no one at home cares. Tonight I lay my head down but the pressure never stops, knowing that my sanity content when I'm dropped. But tomorrow I see change, a chance to build a new, build on spirit intent of heart and ideas based on truth. Tomorrow I wake with second wind and strong because of pride. I know I fought with all my heart to keep the dream alive. This poem is about http://www.thehiphopworld.com/tupac-poems.html
