Outline What is CleverFarm? The idea Sensors The data flow Some algorithms Further ideas

The system A meteorological part, i.e. on-line prediction system –Increases the economical value of wind energy in liberalised energy markets –Maintenance planning A surveillance part or sensor system –Development of a standard installation procedure and selection of sensors (vibration, video, other) –Interface to the algorithm part An algorithm part, control strategies –Automated condition monitoring and fault prediction –This is the innovative part of the project

Project objectives Objectives –Combine state-of-the-art techniques for optimising and enhancing the performance of wind farms –Focus on synergy, not the refinement of the individual techniques –Create an integrated system –Implement the system at a number of wind farms Why? –Minimise the number of unexpected or unscheduled wind farm stops –Many new wind farms are constructed in remote areas eg off-shore
