Pre-Writing Activities Provide a historical reading for the students Provide pictures related to the reading Look at the pictures together. Discuss what is seen in the picture and what you suppose is outside the borders of the picture

Writing Activity Have the students then place themselves within the picture. Who were they? What did they do? How was their life? How did they live? What was happening at this historical period and how did it affect them? Write a story based on the questions above.
