2. Step by Step Writing Say a sentence to tell what our story is about.
Each sentence begins with a capital letter. How do I write the first word?
Say the sentence again. Let’s write the rest of it. How does the name of the month begin? How does the name of the special place begin?
What is the first thing that happens in our story? Which word can we use to show that it is the first event? How do I write that word?
Say the sentence again. Let’s write it. Notice the comma after First. What mark do I use at the end of the sentence?
