In 2 full immersion weeks different kinds of activities took place... lectures and seminars workshops one-to-one classes and self-study followed by consultations with teachers and experts

The students attended some theoretical classes: Physiological aspects of playing the drum instruments Anthropomotorics problems in percussion performance Biomechanics Percussion repertoire analyzing: challenges of interpretation Movement vs sound My vision of percussion ensemble - repertoire - musicians predispositions

And practical ones… Stage movement Instrumental theatre Acting workshop Voice impostation Chamber percussion ensembles working with conductor, interpretation, i mprovement of articulation and dynamics aspects Acting workshop Percussion ensemble improvisation - use of movement, voice, body, instruments Expression on percussion

Many activities have been focused on body Which parts of muscular system and skeleton are involved in playing? How the brain is connected with the muscle structure while performing?

Which is the correct drumming posture? How to develop muscle memory? How to use body in a consciuous and expressive way while performing?

The analysed repertoire focused on masterpieces of the XX cent. One of these was Varese Ionization Ionisation changed the handling of percussion instruments and without this visionary impulse later compositions such as by Cage, Stockausen, Boulez, Nono, Xenakis are not possible (prof. Wulf lecture, 24/07)

Also percussion tradition from outside Europe was considered.. Indonesian Kecak from Bali island Rhythmical Indian Cycles The family of percussion instruments is a worldwide network and it is easy for percussionist to communicate (prof. Wulf lecture, 24/07)
