Main recommendations for Mauritius and way forward

Integrate with the ESTP, long-term Ministry plans, PBB Strategic Plans and the budget

ESTP with10-year infrastructure and HR plans Long-term Ministry Plans PBB Strategic Plans: Actualisation of the ESTP over 3 years, by programme at the level of Ministries PBB: provides financial resources

* The 10-year ESTP will: * Seek to achieve a balance between growth, sustainability and equity and will include strategies that will enhance national productivity, strengthen economic resilience and better prepare us to face external shocks * Provide national outcomes and sector objectives to which the PBB financial allocations and performance targets will be linked, thus strengthening the integration of strategic planning and budgeting functions * Bring coherence between strategies by addressing cross- cutting issues * 5 development axes identified: economic infrastructure, social infrastructure, human capital, enterprise, science and innovation and social inclusion

* Will build on: * MID Vision and the Government Programme * Policy orientation announced in the Budget * International commitments with Development Partners * New Government Programme will feed into the ESTP * Will be developed through consultations with all stakeholders, including private sector, NGOs and civil society * Outcomes that are monitorable * Planning indicators and targets linked to key outcomes that can be monitored to track progress
