4 Our Growing, Thriving City Our Just and Equitable City
OneNYC: Our Four Visions This plan is organized across four strategic visions Our Growing, Thriving City Our Just and Equitable City Our Sustainable City Our Resilient City Growth: Promoting economic growth, balancing physical growth, and making sure we have infrastructure required to accommodate Equity: addressing disparities among neighborhoods and populations. Whether its health outcomes, healthcare access, the quality or infrastructure and services, or educational opportunities, the plan aims to confront these issues head on. Sustainability:: Lessen our contributions to the causes of climate change – reduction in greenhouse gases, the amount of waste we produce, the cleanliness of our air and water as well as stormwater management, and major initiatives related to open space Resiliency: How we are adapting, and fortifying the City, to prepare for the effects of climate change and disruptive weather events.
