Proposed figures for Ahmedabad Chess Event Number of Participants – 20,000 Number of Masters – 1000 Master : Participants = 1 : 20 Venue : Motera Cricket Stadium Ahmedabad Duration : 2 hrs

Rules for the Masters All the masters will play white, the students(players) will play black The boards will be arranged before the game starts When the master arrives at the board, the master and the student ( player) shake hands and the master makes the first move. Moves cannot be taken back or changed once played. On completion of the game, there will be a shaking of hands. The player will communicate his/her result to the organiser/ volunteer. The board will then represent the result. Two kings in the middle indicates draw. Only white king in the middle indicates white win, only black king in middle of board indicates black win Both player and master will sign on the result on completion of the game All Masters need to win 80% of the matches that they are playing

Rules for the students All players will be given a Photo identity card with a code as (SS/R/T/CC), (Sector/Row/Table/Chair) All the masters will play white, the students(players) will play black The boards will be arranged before the game starts When the master arrives at the board, the master and the student ( player) shake hands and the master makes the first move. The player has to make the move ONLY when the master comes to his board Moves cannot be taken back or changed once played. The player cannot pass his turn or keep the master waiting, he or she HAS to move when the master comes to the board In case the player does not move his coin during his or her turn, the player ‘s game will be forfeited. If the player is away from the board, it will be taken that the game has been forfeited and the master wins. The player cannot receive any help from outside, either from friends, coach, family or any written book or electronic form ( Mobiles, Computers). The players cannot speak on mobiles or use their mobiles during the simultaneous. If seen to they can be disqualified. On completion of the game, there will be a shaking of hands. The player will communicate his/her result to the organizer/ volunteer. The board will then represent the result. Two kings in the middle indicates draw. Only white king in the middle indicates white win, only black king in middle of board indicates black win The player will then re arrange all the other pieces to its original starting position and then leave his / her seat. No one else is permitted to sit there unless the organizer/volunteer indicates otherwise Each Player needs to maintain the score sheet. The player will write his/her name, the master´s name and record both black and white moves in the order that they are being played Both player and master will sign on the result on completion of the game The player will hand over the game sheet to the organizer and ensure that he result has been noted Use Black or Blue ball point pen to fill the score sheet
