 Could 50 righteous souls be found?  Could 45 be found?  Could 40 be found?  Could 30 be found?  Could 20 be found?  Could 10 be found?  NO – not even 10 righteous souls.

 Jude 7 -- …just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.

 Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrog- ance, abundant food and careless ease, but she did not help the poor and needy. Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them when I saw it.

 Genesis 19: …the men of Sodom surrounded the house…and they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have relations with them.”  2 Peter 2:6-7 – and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction…and if He rescued Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men….

 Leviticus 18:22 -- You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.  Leviticus 20:13 – If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death.

 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is [r]unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.

 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homo- sexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunk- ards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.

 (Title borrowed from Robert Bork)  Modern arguments concerning homosexuality  It is natural/from birth and therefore acceptable  It is a civil right (where do we draw the line)  Anyone speaking against homosexuality is a gay basher or a homophobe.

 Why try to approve what God has condemned?  Sodom, Gomorrah, Zeboiim and Admah were destroyed as a lasting testimony to God’s view of such wickedness.  Let the fire and brimstone burn this message into our brains: God will not forever tolerate wickedness.
