National perspective What is the role for AAIDD as a national organization regarding healthcare guidelines for persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities?

HWAG Healthcare guidelines project Our Goal or Vision: position AAIDD as national leader in healthcare for persons with IDD Method: Use an expert consensus model integrating Canadian and Massachusetts guidelines using representatives from both groups as well as AAIDD HWAG members Focus: healthcare preventive screening for adults with IDD Target audience: persons with IDD, physicians, providers, organizations, family/advocates
