INDIA Christians in Orissa State were attacked by Hindu extremists following the murder of a Hindu leader. Pray believers will be protected and that law and order will be respected in Orissa State.

CHINA Harassment and imprisonment of house church members continues. 75-year-old Shuang Shuying is still in prison. Pray Shuang Shuying will be protected and have opportunities to witness in prison. Pray for her husband and family, and all believers in China.

UZBEKISTAN Government authorities continue a crackdown against Christians. Aimurat Khayburahmanov faces five to 15 years in prison for teaching religion without approval. Pray the church in Uzbekistan remains strong as it stands up for Christ, in spite of imprisonments and harassment.

BELARUS Churches in the Grodno region were prohibited from holding church services and fined because they read the Bible, discuss questions about religious faith, sing songs and conduct religious rites. Pray for protection for believers, and for them to remain strong in spite of threats, bans on church services and fines.

LAOS Believers in Phetchaburi and Luang Namtha Province were arrested, forced to deny Christ, and had their Bibles, hymn books and other material things burned. Pray believers in Laos will be encouraged and their forgiveness for their persecutors will touch the hearts of non believers.

PHILIPPINES Because Pastor Josefino Estaniel shared the gospel in his community, Communist New People’s Army rebels executed him and buried him in a shallow grave. Pray his family is comforted and for Pastor Estaniel’s testimony to be a powerful witness of Christ’s love and redemption.
