Holding the Cross And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. And he took the fire in his hand, and a knife. And they both went together. Gen 22:6

St. Jerome says [Isaac, in his readiness to die, had carried the cross of the Bible before the Bible came].

The Offering 17By faith Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. The Church replaced Israel 67And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife. And he loved her. And Isaac was comforted after his mother's death. Gen 24:67
