II. There has been a great DECEPTION

1. Knowledge of the TRUTH is what is powerful. Truth has the power to: A. Live a life of JOY and PEACE B. Have a PERSONAL relationship with God C. To CLEANSE our Sin and give us eternal life

There is one Major Issue that Separates Biblical Christianity from every religion and belief system and that is the person of JESUS Christ.

2. Worldly Teaching A. We are Taught that KNOWLEDGE is POWER B. The more EDUCATED you are the better off you are.

2 Timothy 3:7 “Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

This belief led ADAM and EVE afraid of God and believing that they had to provide covering from their sin on their own.

III. There is a great NEED for the Truth John 8:32 “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

God has Commanded us to declare the GOSPEL 1.Make Disciples 2.Baptize Them 3.Teach them to observe ALL things whatsoever I have COMMANDED you.

God has commanded us to DEFEND the Gospel Jude 3 “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

1.ONE Faith 2.It is IMMUTABLE 3.We are to earnestly CONTEND 4.This faith has ENEMIES

Conclusion 1.Identify FALSE Teaching 2.Be able to give answer with compassion, CLARITY, Conviction, and Confidence.

A Good DEFENSE 1.Know JESUS John 14:6 “ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
