“The Stolen Party” Read chunk 2 Annotate chunk 2 for the feelings that Rosaura is feeling – About the party, about her mother, or about herself? How does Señora Ines and her daughter treat Rosaura?

“The Stolen Party” Read Chunk 3 – Annotate chunk three for elements of conflict Conflict between the two girls, and any internal conflict Rosaura may be feeling

“The Stolen Party” Read Chunk 5 – Annotate the text for Rosaura’s feelings again Are they different from before? What is she looking forward to? What might the gift bags represent to a child at a party?

“The Stolen Party” Read chunk 6 – Annotate for Rosaura’s actions toward Señora Ines What was the surprise ending? What did Rosaura learn? – Write: Was your prediction correct? How was your prediction similar to or different from the ending?
