Green fan The green card represents : you are confident and understand the task you have been given. To speed up your progress and meet your targets more quickly, show this green card whilst your teacher is explaining; this means you do not have to listen to the whole input. But only do this if you understand!

Orange fan The orange card represents that you understood some of the task given but would like to have some input just to make sure that you thoroughly understand the task given. If you are answering independent questions and you have a question you don’t understand then put your orange card on the table and have a go at the question whilst the teacher continues with the rest of he class. If you still don’t understand hold up your red card and the teacher will come over and assist you, however if you do understand hold up your green card and carry on instead of wasting precious learning time!

Red fan The red card represents that you do not have a clue what your doing. You should only hold up this card if you are completely sure that you have no idea what you are doing and that you haven't just mis- read the question. although if for some reason you do hold up your red card it is not a bad thing or the wrong thing to do as it shows you want to know and do well.
