Loving God, Inspire us with courage and hope as we embark on this New Year. May our lives throughout the coming months be an example of your love in our relationships with family, with friends and with those we meet in our work. Bless us with fruitful opportunities this year, grant us the wisdom to grasp them and the resources to realize them. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Life Reflection The following two slides have some questions to help us to reflect on our lives. Read the questions and share your answers with the person sitting next to you

Think of a person who makes or made a positive difference in your life. What qualities does that person have that you would like to develop? Imagine 20 years from now – the most important people surround you in your life. Who are they and what are you doing? If a steal beam (6 inches wide) were placed across two skyscrapers, for what would you be willing to cross? A thousand pounds? A million? Your pet? Your brother? For Fame? Think carefully…

Five years from now, your local paper writes a story about you and they want to interview three people … a parent, a brother or sister, and a friend. What would you want them to say about you? Think of something that represents you … a song, an animal, a flower. Why does it represent you? If you could spend an hour with any person who ever lived, who would that be? Why that person? What would you ask? Let us pray, that this year we will live our lives to the full…….

Prayer of St. Therese Christ has no body but yours, No hands, no feet on earth but yours, Yours are the eyes with which he looks Compassion on this world, Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good, Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, Yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now but yours, No hands, no feet on earth but yours, Yours are the eyes with which he looks compassion on this world. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
