Praise, praise, praise to God. Holy is his name. Joyfully, joyfully, joyfully, joyfully Hear God’s word proclaimed.

When Judas left Jesus and his disciples, where was he going? What did Jesus want his disciples to do when he had left them? What does it mean to love as Jesus loves? How can we show love today?

We invite you to come and collect a gesture to remind you that Jesus asked us to love one another the way he loved his disciples…

As brothers and sisters in one loving family, together let us pray to our heavenly Father…

We pray for countries and nations facing famine, flood, drought or any kind of disaster. Lord, in your mercy… We pray for those who are poor and in need of our help. Lord, in your mercy… We pray for the homeless and refugees who have lost everything they owned. Lord, have mercy.

We pray for peace in our world and understanding and forgiveness beyween nations and religions. Lord, in your mercy… Knowing that our heavenly Father is listening, in the silence of our hearts, let us share our own unspoken prayers with him. Silence for own prayers…

Loving Father, May we be faithful to the Christian name and worthy to be called children of God. We make our prayer through Christ your Son. Amen.

1. Lord, the light of your love is shining, in the midst of the darkness, shining. Jesus, Light of the world, shine upon us. Set us free by the truth you now bring us. Shine on me, shine on me. Shine, Jesus, shine; fill this land with the Father’s glory. Blaze, Spirit, blaze; set out hearts on fire. Flow, river, flow; flood the nations with grace and mercy. Send forth your Word, Lord, and let there be light.

2. Lord, I come to your awesome presence, from the shadows into your radiance. By the blood I may enter your brightness. Search me, try me, consume all my darkness. Shine on me, shine on me. Shine, Jesus, shine; fill this land with the Father’s glory. Blaze, Spirit, blaze; set out hearts on fire. Flow, river, flow; flood the nations with grace and mercy. Send forth your Word, Lord, and let there be light.

3. As we gaze on your kingly brightness, So our faces display your likeness, ever changing from glory to glory. Mirrored here, may our lives tell your story. Shine on me, shine on me. Shine, Jesus, shine; fill this land with the Father’s glory. Blaze, Spirit, blaze; set out hearts on fire. Flow, river, flow; flood the nations with grace and mercy. Send forth your Word, Lord, and let there be light. x2
