MISSION Mobilizing teenagers to relationally and relentlessly reach their generation for Christ

In a 2011 Barna study, 59% of year olds with a Christian background report that they had or have dropped out of attending church, after going regularly when they were younger. Source: David Kinnaman, You Lost Me (Grand Rapids: Baker Books, 2011), page 24.

“With God, we don’t wanna change the world… we’re gonna change the world!”

Scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have found that when just 10 percent of the population holds an unshakeable belief, their belief will always be adopted by the majority of society. Science Daily, July 2012

VISION Teenagers on every high school and middle school in America who are relationally and relentlessly reaching their generation for Christ and mobilizing other teens to do the same 67,342 middle & high schools

According to Dann Spader and Gary Mayes, the average church in America is seeing less than a 3% growth rate from new conversions. [1] However, church growth experts say that churches need to see at least a 10% new conversion growth rate in order to be considered “healthy.” Meanwhile, youth groups who have participated in Dare 2 Share conferences are seeing an average of 18% new conversion growth within their youth ministries! The Life in 6 Words Outreach Book

“These books are great for getting teens to share their faith. The books are CONCISE enough to keep a teen's attention, COMPLETE enough to fully explain the whole story of the gospel and COOL enough for my teenagers to unashamedly pass them on to their friends.” Andy McGowen, Youth Pastor, Kenosha, WI

100 books per church

Every youth leader commits to: 1.Prayer Strategy 2.Every book will be followed up with a conversation 3.Report back to Dare 2 Share

GOAL by June 30, ,000 conversations

JULIE’S GROUP “ Dane (8 th grade boy) had shared with a friend and she trusted in Christ, then she then shared with Dane how her dad might be dying of cancer. Dane told her to share with her dad about Jesus. She did and he trusted in Christ too. Then on Monday Dane went to school and gave the Life in 6 words book to his friend to read during lunch. The boy only got through 5 pages, put the book down and said “Tell me what this means.” Dane explained and he trusted in Christ right there in the lunchroom at school. Another student Jackson (7 th grade) shared how his friend came to know Christ at D2S. Maxine shared about how her friend trusted in Christ, and that friend told her mom and she trusted in Christ.”
