Golden Lion Tamirin

Why I Chose My Animal? I chose golden lion tamerin because it is interesting.

Appearnce A golden lion tamerin has tons of characteristics that make it different from other monkeys. Without its big body and long tail it wouldn’t be able to survive. It is golden and it has a mane. That makes it look interesting. Its slender fingers help it catch their pray. Now those are good chariteristics to use for surviving in the wild.

Habitat Do you know where in the world a golden lion tamerin lives? You guessed it! The tropical humid forest. It lives there so it can survive. The big trees allow it to climb like a monkey. The vines allow it to swing throgh th forest. If a golden lion tamerin didn’t live in the humid forest it wouldn’t be able to survive.

Diet A golden lion tamerin eats lots of small things. They eat insects and fruit. They eat spiders, snails and small lizards. And they also eat birds and bird eggs. Eating all of that food helps it grow. That is a lot of small things for a golden lion tamerin to eat to help it survive.

Family A golden lion tamerin can be a predator to some and pray to others. Somehow they were poisoned so bad it’s not even funny. They need to watch out for hawks because they can fly high and have good eye sight. They need to look out for eagles for the same reasan. They always need to stay away from ocelots because of their sharp teeth. Since surviving involves avoiding all of those things it may be hard to do if their predators ruled the world.
