Vets Small Business Task Force Established April 26, 2010 by executive order of President Obama. Coordinates federal efforts to increase & improve veteran small business development.

COUNSELING Veteran Outreach $150,000 grants provided to Veteran Business Opportunity Centers in 10 states SBA Transition Assistance Program 800 counseled annually Boots to Business SBA Launched 2 new entrepreneurship programs for Women Veterans, National Guard and Reserve members & their families SBA Expanded Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for Veterans w/disabilities to Louisiana State University

CAPITAL Patriot Express Initiative Loan Veterans, Service –disabled veterans, Reservists and National Guard members, TAP eligible active duty, spouse or widowed spouse of these members. In FY2012, Federal Agencies combined exceeded the 3.0 goal of contract procurement opportunities for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. 3.03% this year vs. 2.65% last year. In monetary language, that’s about $12.3 billion in dollars nationwide. 9 CONTRACTING
