To explain to the Transitioning Service Member (TSM) the entrepreneurship track of Department of Labor Entrepreneurship Workshop (DOLEW), Boots to Business (B2B)
How small business ownership can be a great option for the TSM

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) manages most federal small business for Veterans (VETS)
American academic institutions are delivering training programs designed for VETS, spouses or caregivers

5. Standards Continued The SBA assists with concerns with the TSM’s
small business business development plan
Training track in Transition, Goals, Plans,
Success (TGPS), Block 5:
Helps improve the participants business skills

6. Standards Continued The training is a two-step process:
Introduction to Entrepreneurship Two-Day
Course- Classroom Course offered as one of
three TPGS elective tracks
Foundation of Entrepreneurship- eight week,
instructor led online course that offers in-
depth instruction on the elements of a
business plan, tips, and techniques to begin a
business

8. Standards Continued Attending B2B DOES NOT disqualify the TSM
from attending Accessing Higher Education or
Career Technical Training Track
TSM, TSM spouse, service members can
participate in multiple tracks regardless of when
they transition
