I see you... YoU are going to a place of worship... let’s say a church... I am not interested in what you will do there, although l think, you will pray...

I do not care if you stand in front of the altar, or if you stay in the back by the door... If you pray sitting down or kneeling… If you lower your head and close your eyes...

… if you watch the paintings... if you move your lips… if you whisper the words…

That is a movement of the body, using which is not difficult to fool a man...

When you leave the church and join people, prepare to meet with me.

It is than, when l will observe you, and even judge you. I have the right to do that.

For l wish to know: were you really speaking to God in the church or were you just an actor?

I wish to make sure, does a prayer change a man for the better? And l wish to make sure, yes, using YoU as my case study...

If l realize, you are greedy, selfish, envious, arguing, superficial, insolent,... I will know, your prayer is a weak one.

If l see you are not being loving in your family, at work, at school, in the store, on the bus... if You lack people skills, if you are not being respectful in conversations with others.. I will know for sure YoU are not able to talk to God.

If there must be someone there, to constantly comfort you & tell you how good you are... I will know, You did not go to church to celebrate God, but to worship YoU.

But if...

… if your words sooth, share joy, create trust & understanding, give comfort … your eyes are opened to the destress of others

… if your hands lift the helpless … if your hands lift the helpless

... if your heart holds understanding, compassion ~ if your heart is forgiving and loving ~

... I will know, YoU were indeed speaking to GoD! speaking to GoD!
