A GENERIC OFFICE WITH THE WISENET SYSTEM

WHAT THE WISENET SYSTEM CONSISTS OF Gateway / Server / Wireless Network Manager Router Repeater / Mesh Node Sensor / Activity Counter / Star Node The Gateway or PAN Coordinator automatically discovers and manages the Router Repeaters and Sensors that are designated to be part of the Network. The Gateway only communicates directly with the Router Repeaters. The Router Repeaters communicate with the Sensors and receive the actual counts of activity at each individual Workstation or Position. They in turn forward that data to the Gateway. Each Router Repeater can support a maximum of 32 Sensors, 20 is optimal. The Sensors are installed at each work position to be measured and forward their activity counts to the Router Repeaters which in turn forward that data to the Gateway where it is stored for daily transmission over the Internet to the Abintra Wisenet client application. The data can be shared with other applications using the site IT Infrastructure.

TECHNICAL POINTS Q Can the Abintra Wisenet Wireless Network interfere with other wireless infrastructure in our facility ? ANo, the transceiver power levels are too low to affect 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Traffic and we use continuous dynamic Frequency Hopping techniques to avoid transmitting on saturated channels. QAre there any health risks associated with the wireless network devices? ANo, again the power levels are significantly less than those associated with Wi-Fi or even individual cell phones. QWhat are the sensors active elements? AThe active element in the sensor is a Passive Infrared Motion Sensor that senses the human body heat wave form signature, no cameras, no microphones, and no RFID tags. QWhat type of Wireless Network is Wisenet? AIt is , similar to it operates in the same 2.4 GHz RF spectrum but at highly restricted transmission intervals and power levels. QHow is the Network secured? AAll Mesh communication traffic is in compliance with the NIST AES-197 encryption standards.

EXP Niagara Control Engine Occupancy / Utilization Data feed forward to the local control engine from the Abintra Sensing Network. Control Actions, On/Off, Dimming, Ambient Adjustment, Master Scheduling feed from the control engine to individual groups of LED’s.

In the example shown below in an existing facility the furniture infrastructure may not always be ideally in alignment with the existing Lighting Fixture locations. The Fixtures highlighted in red would be the Master LED Luminaire with the PWM Driver and the associated slave LED’s would be connected by low voltage Class II cabling.

WHAT THE FACILITY MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT CAN NOW SEE Typical Area Covered by a BAS Sensor Controlling a VAV Box serving 4,000 Square Feet Single Point of Measurement The air distribution ductwork downstream from the VAV Box typically has manual balancing dampers which are initially set by the contractor of record. Over the course of time with internal equipment changes and floor layout alterations the air balance may not be adequate for the space. Wisenet can prove to be a valuable tool to assist the Facility Maintenance personnel in solving these comfort, and ultimately productivity issues.
