Lets learn some doggy Speak!

 Do not approach a strange dog.  Do not approach the dog from the front or the near.  Do not approach the dog that is eating.  Do not approach the dog that is gnawing a bone.  Do not approach a sleeping dog.  Do not stare at the dogs eyes.  Do not make any drastic movements to the dog.

Pet him by extending the back of the hand and allow the dog to sniff Pet him under the chin or the side of the chest

How to avoid Dog Bite

Do not run or move quickly near dogs!

Do not look a dog straight in the eye!

If the nervous dog gets close to you: Freeze…Freeze… Look only at the ground…Look only at the ground… Walk backwards very slowly…Walk backwards very slowly…

Do not turn and run!

If a growling dog gets close to you, pretend to be a tree: stand still with your hands at your side. Allow the dog to sniff you and it will usually go away.

 Immediately wash thoroughly with soap and running water for 10 Minutes.  Do to a hospital for vaccination.  Monitor the dog for 10 days.
