Tom’s Bucket Parent info: This story uses Phase 2 sounds, including ‘ll’ (double letter l at the end of a word) and Phase 2 tricky words the, is, go and no. The words bucket and empty are not cvc words. If they find sounding out these words tricky, children can use the initial sound and use the picture as a strategy to help them read them.
