ERASMUS MUNDUS: 3 ACTIONS ACTION 1: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Courses Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorates ACTION 2: Erasmus Mundus Partnerships ACTION 3: Projects to promote higher education cooperation between Europe and the rest of the world SCHOLARSHIPS students (undergr to post- doc.) and Staff (acad. and admin.) Action 1 Joint Programmes An EM Masters Course or Joint Doctorate  is developed and delivered by a consortium of HEIs (with study in at least two HEIs)  must involve at least three European HEIs and may involve non-EU HEIs  awards full-study scholarships + scholar grants  provides a joint degree/mulitple degrees

Action 1 Joint Programmes In 2013: 138 Masters Courses and 43 Joint Doctorates will offer: 1,500 + Masters scholarships, 300 doctoral fellowships, 450 scholar scholarships Instances of participation:745 EU, 240 non-EU : Scholarships for over 14,000 masters students, 2,000 scholars and 640 doctoral candidates

* Since 2010, EMMC consortia have selected scholars over the course of the academic year, rather than at the beginning, so nationalities of selected scholars will only be known when final reports are submitted. ** First selection of doctoral candidates made for academic year. Action 1: How much is the scholarship? T wo categories of students/doctoral candidates: Category A: Non-Europeans who are not resident, nor have carried out their main activity for more than a total of 12 months over the last 5 years, in a European country Category B: Any individual fulfilling the academic admission conditions set by the consortium and who does not fulfil Category A requirements (mainly Europeans)

Scholarships beneficiaries must be Libyan or nationals of the any country concerned by the lot and specifically: Target Group 1 registered in one of the HEIs member of the partnership (50% of the total mobility) Target Group 2 registered/work in a HEIs not included in the partnership or have obtained a university degree by an institution of these countries Target Group 3 in particularly vulnerable situations, for social and political reasons (e.g. refugee status or asylum seekers, indigenous population or IDPs) Action 2 mobility target
