Two Conferences designed especially for Church Financial Secretaries and Treasurers. This course is designed for those setting up the financial records for a non-profit entity. The BASIC Introduction to QuickBooks course is presented in the morning followed by an abbreviated ADVANCED QuickBooks in the evening. Advance Registration is required by Noon on Friday, January 29. Building A Vibrant Sunday School In The Urban Church This conference is designed to assist African American congregations to reach their community for Christ. The conference provides training to assist workers in how to use the Sunday School as an outreach opportunity to their communities and as an inreach tool to strengthen church members in their faith.

January 26, 2010 First Baptist Church, Chickasaw 2 Opportunities to Attend: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (Light Lunch from 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) OR Conference from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (Light Meal from 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.) During this conference, you will learn about the different generations such as the “G.I.” Generation, “Boomers,” and the current “Generation Z.” Background information on how different religious and family views and ideas have shaped each group, and ultimately affect their responses to how the church ministers to them. The information shared will assist you in designing ministry opportunities to better meet the needs of these varying generations. Conference leader is State Missionary Jim Swedenburg. He is Director of the Office of Cooperative Program & Stewardship Development for the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions. Local vendor booths will be available/open starting at 8:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - Specialized conferences and booths will include:  Spiritual Life Issues  Financial Issues  55+ Life Seminars  Medical/Health Related Information  Health Related Screenings  Safety Issues From 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., the Festival will feature Musical Presentations from local Choirs.
