The Student Code of Conduct seeks to foster and promote a sense of respect and consideration of others. BCCC is committed to ensuring a safe, learning environment and pleasant workplace for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, Furthermore, everyone at BCCC is expected to create a positive learning environment through behavior defined as civil. Civility at BCCC is defined as behavior that demonstrates respect for the rights, needs, and feelings of others. What is the Code of Conduct?

Disruptions to the learning environment Verbal and/or Physical Assault Possession, manufacturing, sale of illegal drugs on campus Theft Misuse of computer resources Cell phone use (other electronic devise) in the classroom What types of behavior are considered violations of the Student Code of Conduct?

The site Ombudsman/Mediator will attempt to resolve violations without having a formal hearing. If the case can’t be resolved without a formal hearing, it will be heard by the Incident Management Advisory Committee(IMAC). The Committee submits a written report of its findings, conclusions, and proposed sanctions to the Vice President for Student Affairs for final disposition. What happens if there is a breach of the Student Code of Conduct?
