MINNCOR Purpose  To operate a dynamic and profitable business  To employ as many offenders as possible, to efficiently reduce inmate idleness and contribute to a secure prison environment  To provide work skills training to offenders that prepares them for return to the community, including our EMPLOY Program

MINNCOR Facts  Prison industries have existed in Minnesota for over 100 years  On any given day, MINNCOR employs approximately 1,200 offenders and 125 staff  Since 2003, MINNCOR has been a self-sufficient enterprise, receiving no state subsidies, taxpayer dollars or grants Twine factory, early 1900s
