The real story of.... Jack and the Beanstalk

Once upon a time there was a nasty little boy called Jack. He lived with his poor, old mother and their cow in an old tiny house made out of wood. Jack liked to steal things which everyone said was very very bad! One day, Jack decided to steal his mothers cow and sold her for a few worthless beans. Jack’s mum was very very cross!

The beans fell out of Jack’s pocket on the way home and over night they sprouted and grew really tall because they weren't normal beans... The were MAGIC beans! In the morning, Jack went out to play and cause trouble. He saw that a gigantic beanstalk had grown high into the cool, blue sky. Jack had an idea...

Jack decided to climb up the incredibly tall beanstalk and when he got to the top, he found a massive castle! It was the biggest castle Jack had ever seen. “FEE FI FO FUM! I WANT SOMETHING TO GO IN MY TUM!” Jack shouted as he ran through the castle.

A large, friendly giant lived in the castle and was eating his lunch. He heard Jack shouting and went to have a look. Jack was in the Giant’s favourite room and was trying to steal some of the Giant’s gold!

The Giant ran after Jack and shouted “Stop The Giant ran after Jack and shouted “Stop! Leave my gold alone, I am poor, it is all I have!” Jack saw the Giant and ran as fast as he could towards the beanstalk but Jack tripped and fell all the way down to the bottom! Jack landed and felt very dizzy! He ran home as fast as his legs could carry him to his mother’s open arms.

The Giant soon knocked on their door and Jack’s mother spoke to him. The Giant explained what Jack had done and that he was very disappointed. So was Jack’s mother. Jack promised never to be bad again. Jack and the giant shook hands and the Giant even gave Jack and his mother a magic hen that would lay as many eggs as they wanted and they both lived happily ever after. And so did the chicken!
