Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) | Project Management Model To assist with the development and implementation of your project The Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) is a fee charged to students for services and amenities of a non ‐ academic nature. The allocation of SSAF funds are determined in consultation with students and student representative bodies, and guided by the SSAF Committee. All SSAF funded projects must be considered by the Committee and are subject to Executive approval. The project management stage-gate model provides an example of how a project might typically proceed under the SSAF, determined by the nature of each individual initiative. It is important that progress from one stage to the next only proceeds with due diligence, in consideration of the project’s objectives. At each stage gate, decisions are made to: approve/continue the project; revise the project specification; postpone the project; abandon the project before completion; close the project upon completion. Further information and resources are available in the SSAF Program Management Kit. Should you have any queries regarding the management or implementation of SSAF funded projects or initiatives, please contact the SSAF Project Manager by at: Program Management Kit Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) | Strategic Projects Group Page 3
