Dizziness

Concept  Dizziness is the general term for blurred vision and vertigo.The two symptoms are often seen simultaneously.Mild dizziness may be relieved instantly instantly by closing the eyes,while in severe cases the patients may feel as if he were in a fast car or a sailing boat that makes him unable to stand steadily.It may be accompanied by nausea,vomiting or sweating in more severe conditions

Etiology and Pathogenesis Hyperactivity of the liver Yang,bleeding due to an adverse flow of qi Deficiency of qi and blood,emptiness of the marrow sea Stagnation of phlegm and qi attacking the orifices in the head Disturbing the orifices in the head Deficiency of qi in the Upper Jiao Failure of clear Yang in ascending and descending Dizziness
