4 Principles of Biblical Interpretation  1. Consider everything you read in its immediate context and in the context of the entire Bible.  Every false teaching comes from taking the Bible out of context.

4 Principles of Biblical Interpretation  4. Interpret everything in the light of the clear truths of God ’ s Word.  We will not find an obscure passage or an alternate meaning to a word that will overturn the often-stated doctrines of the Bible.

He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” 20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, 21 and he began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
