DDEEPENING THINKING RROLE MODELLING IIMPACT ON LEARNING CCHALLENGING EXPECTATIONS EENGAGING IN LEARNING ?

 What is it?  How can we use it?  When should we use it?

Thinking about the story of The Little Red Hen……  Why did the Little red hen ask for help?  How would he be feeling when nobody would help him?  How could the story have ended if his friends had helped him?

THE HOOK

The hook is the part of the lesson that captures your interest and makes you want to learn!!!!

The teacher will set a task and will….  Show examples for different levels of learning.  Show what can be achieved.  Demonstrate using pictures and diagrams along with having class discussions.

Will be…. Learning skills will be improved. A clearer understanding of the tasks. Targets will be met and achieved.

 Are you suitably challenged?  Pupils can achieve at or above their target grade.  Differentiated activities for all pupils to suit all levels.

 What does this look like? Is it….  Long question and answer sessions?  Single students reading work to class?  Long teacher led explanations?

Synthesis What solution could you suggest…? What ideas can you add to…? Evaluation Do you agree that…? What do you think about…? Can you give reasons for…?
