2  By the end of this session you will know why it’s important to incorporate higher order thinking skills into your lessons.  You will also have time to work with colleagues to create a lesson or unit activities that incorporate H.O.T.S.

3  Bloom’s Taxonomy is a multi-tiered model of classifying thinking by six cognitive levels of complexity. First created in the 1950’s, Bloom’s Taxonomy was revised in the 1990’s in an attempt to make it more relevant for 21 st century students and teachers.
